Details & Support

Our climate change diplomacy work is supported by two ideas: in order for progress to endure, change must happen at all levels; and in an age of globalization, mutual understanding and collaboration across national boundaries are a necessity.

We work with decision makers on all levels of government and policy experts in China and the US – and other nations – to gain a deeper understanding of environmental policy and to find grounds for cooperation.

Needs:
Bring Chinese and American decision makers and experts into a collaborative partnership to promote innovation on climate change policy.

Approach:
Build more opportunities for knowledge sharing so to realize common goals and then craft strategies to work together.

To promote bilateral and multilateral agreements between USA and China on climate change and low-carbon development

Facilitation of Track II Dialogues that led to the signing of the 2014 US-China Bilateral Agreement on Climate Change;

Participation in UNFCCC Conference of the Parties on Climate Change to promote China’s action on low-carbon development at home and abroad in 2011;

Graduation from China-US Eco-Partnerships Program with Center for Climate Strategies.
