Internships

Internships

Interns are crucial members of GEI. Program teams depend on their fresh perspective, high-quality work and project support.

We accept applications for fellowships and internships on a rolling basis as well as on a project need basis. All specific opportunities will be posted here. We are also pleased to announce that we are an official partner with CRCC Asia.

Successful applicants demonstrate unwavering dedication to high-quality work, eagerness to learn and the abilities to independently as well as provide and receive constructive feedback.

Good luck! We look forward to your application.

The working environment at GEI is good and colleagues are very nice. I learned how to communicate with others and how to balance work and life under pressure.

I improved my English speaking, writing and translation skills, which are valuable and helpful for my future life.

Fang Fang LI, External Relations Intern

I had my internship during junior year summer vacation. During the internship, I had the privilege to learn about the conservation concession agreement and high-level international energy projects. The GEI colleagues are very kind to me, patiently guiding me and respect my views about the tasks. The lunch and snacks are also great! I encourage everyone to apply.

Jiachen WEI, Ecosystem Conservation & Community Development Program; Energy and Climate Change Program Intern

I loved interning at GEI, because the work felt very relevant and meaningful. In addition, I love that GEI works at the intersection of environmentalism and many other issues, such as poverty alleviation. Through my time as an intern, I was lucky enough to get to know environmental experts, to learn about environmental NGO work in China, and to see first-hand the hard work that produces GEI’s projects.
