Ms. Huiling ZHU is the Energy and Climate Change Program Officer at GEI. Since joining GEI in 2021, Huiling’s projects have mainly focused on the development of renewable energy in Southeast Asia, including solar PV resources analysis, technical application and investment in Southeast Asia.

Huiling participated in renewable energy planning and green transportation research in China’s cities before joining GEI. Prior to that, she was also an intern in photovoltaics at a social enterprise campus in the UK. During her work, she participated in the research on the combination of campus photovoltaics and EV charging stations, as well as its potential business model.

Huiling has educational experience in China and the United Kingdom. She holds a Master of Science from the University of Leeds, and her research direction is sustainable urban development. Huiling is fluent in Mandarin and English.
